Blood Donation

So Monday I decided to donate blood after my last class. Needless to say it turned out to be a horrible mistake. The actual process was fine it was just what happened afterwards. Before I left the donating room I drank two of juices and ate a couple of cookies, then I went to the library to get some homework done. Shortly after I sat down with the laptop I started to get hot flashes and started feeling really queasy. I then decided to return the laptop and try to get home to rest. As I was starting to walk out of the library I started to feel really lightheaded and felt like I was about to pass out so I asked the girl working if I could lay down. She said yes and then they let me lay down in the lounge. Shortly after I laid down a campus police officer came to bring me to the health center where they took my vitals and gave me a gingerale to drink. My blood pressure was lower than normal. Finally after about an hour there I finally made it to my car and came home. I was exhausted all night and I even took a nap when I got home. Today I still feel run down. I don't know if I will ever donate again afte this experience.
